Job Introduction

Motus Truck & Van have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Van Sales Manager to join their fabulous sales team in Welham Green.
As a Retail Van Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of our retail van sales division. You will lead a team of retail van sales executives who are showroom-based, ensuring that they meet and exceed their performance and KPI targets while providing an exceptional customer experience.

What will you be doing?
  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate the retail van sales executives, setting clear KPIs and performance expectations, and providing coaching, mentoring and support for their professional development. Ensure team compliance with all Motus Truck and Van policies and procedures.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Drive outbound prospecting activities by targeting local businesses by researching sales channels by business type and utilizing accurate details from our CRM systems to identify potential customers and opportunities.
  • Process Review: Continuously review and optimize sales processes to enhance efficiency and customer experience, while maintaining retail compliance standards.
  • Sales Targets: Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed budgeted sales targets for the retail van sales division.
  • Stock Profile: Oversee the management of new van stock, ensuring a well-balanced model profile and coordinating with the used stock buyer to manage stock age profiles and preparation turnaround times.
  • Stock Management: Effectively manage both physical and pipeline stock, ensuring alignment with customer demand and industry trends.
  • Site presentation of stock and demonstrators to be set to the highest standards.
  • Develop and maintain team and personal up-to-date deep knowledge of all products and services.
  • Aftersales Collaboration: Collaborate with the aftersales team to ensure key customers receive excellent service levels and support, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
  • Manufacturer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with van manufacturer and suppliers to leverage opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Training Programmes: Implement training programmes and initiatives to enhance the skills and product knowledge of your sales team.
  • Customer Experience: Continuously work to improve the customer journey and experience, ensuring all customers receive the highest level of service and attention.
  • Compliance:  Signing off structured customer offerings to maximise profitability and monitoring compliance processes in line with company and FCA policies.
Hours & Salary:
Monday - Friday, 09:00am - 5:30pm.
Salary depending on experience plus a company car & bonus

  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the automotive retail industry, with a focus on van sales.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and their effective use for prospecting and sales.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and budgetary goals.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring and team management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retail compliance standards and best practices.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical and detailed mindset with the ability to forecast accurately.
